Rattliff Runner-Up in Crate Late Model at Ponderosa Speedway!
(April 17, 2022) Campbellsville, Kentucky native Justin Rattliff kicked off his version of the 2022 racing season over the April 15-16 weekend at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky. On Friday night at Ponderosa, Justin pulled double duty with both his Super Late Model and Crate Late Model. In the Crate, Justin ran second in his heat race and an impressive runner-up in the $1,500 to win main event as well behind only victor Justin Smith. Behind the wheel of his Super Late Model in the $5,000 to win 'Bobby Carrier, Sr. Tribute' race, he placed fourth in his heat race before a broken axle cover in the 40-lapper dropped him to a disappointing nineteenth place effort.

At Lake Cumberland on Saturday evening, a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs with the American Crate All-Star Series. Justin stopped the clock eighteenth fastest overall during the qualifying session prior to running fourth in his loaded heat race. Unfortunately a broken transmission would sideline the "Rattler" for the 45-lap headliner and forced Justin to scratch from the contest.
